Hue has lots of lovely hotels.
We've spoken to a few where we have booking codes or block booked (see below) and there are several others we also endorse.
If you’re looking for other places to explore, ping us an email — we’ve visited over 40 of Vietnam’s provinces together and can almost certainly make some suggestions!
Azerai La Residence Hue
This is where we'll be staying during the wedding. Dating from the '30s and built as part of the Resident's Mansion, it's now a pretty charming hotel with great views of the river and a lovely pool. Not a bad martini either.
We suggest booking directly and when you do, mention our wedding and the code 130793.

Ancient Hue Garden House
Upscale and with just a handful of rooms (less than 10), the Ancient Hue Garden Houses offer a glimpse into traditional mandarin lifestyle. Each room has its own unique decor. It's situated just across the river, right next to Hue's Imperial Citadel.
Price: $$$$ | Address: 47 Kiệt 104 Kim Long, Kim Long, Thành phố Huế
Pilgrimage Village Boutique Resort & Spa
Set a bit outside central Hue and with lovely jungly gardens, Pilgrimage Village is a good option for those looking for a bit more space at a reasonable price. It’s just a 10 min taxi ride to town.
Price: $$ | Address: 130 Minh Mang Road, Thành phố Huế
Senna Hotel
In the heart of Hue and just minutes from the lunch venue and evening walking street, Senna was recently renovated and is comfy and convenient if lacking a bit of charm. Near the must-visit spots like the Imperial Citadel, Truong Tien Bridge, and Dong Ba Market. Discount code: HaMy & Sam Wedding via email booking: sales@sennahue.com
Price: $$ | Address: No.7 Nguyễn Tri Phương Street, Thành phố Huế
Saigon Morin Hotel
The definition of faded glory (with an emphasis on faded) the Saigon Morin has captivating views of Truong Tien Bridge and the Huong River. Staying here is a real experience and historical throwback, though the amenities have seen better days.
Price: $ | Address: 30 Lê Lợi, Phú Hội, Thành phố Huế
Scarlett Boutique Hotel Hue
Small, cheap, and clean, right in the center of Hue. Less than 10 min walk to either venue and next to the pedestrian-only nighttime neighborhood. A great example of Vietnam’s budget comfiness.
There is a special offer if you prefer to book directly with the code My&Sam
Price: $ | Address: Lane 17 House 1 Bến Nghé Street, Thành phố Huế
A bit further afield
If you're coming early/staying late, a couple of options for places just outside of Hue.
Villa Louise Beach Resort
While Da Nang and Hoi An have (probably fairly) more famous beaches, Hue is home to our favorite beach hotel. Villa Louise is about 30 minutes east of Hue and located right on the beach. Charming rooms, great food, lovely setting. A great place to prepare for the weekend or unwind after.
Price: $$$ | Address: Road 49B, Phú Thuận Beach, Phú Vang District, Thừa Thiên Huế
Alba Wellness Valley
A Japanese-style onsen 30km northwest of Hue. With its own natural hot mineral source and own mineral water. For those looking to be pampered, a great option.
Price: $$$$ | Address: Phong Sơn Commune, Phong Điền District, Thừa Thiên Huế
Banyan Tree Lang Co
A seriously nice resort with all pool villas. But one does pay for it.
Price: $$$$$ | Address: Road 49B, Phú Thuận Beach, Phú Vang District, Thừa Thiên Huế
Da Nang & Hoi An
It’s a couple of hours by car to Vietnam's third largest city and an impossibly large selection of resorts. A bit further south is Hoi An, a UNESCO site and charming old city (though frequently overrun by tourists) and its neighboring An Bang beach town.
Lots of lovely places to stay for a few days before or after, but probably too far for the weekend itself.
